Schema Markup Generator

Structured data is how you tell Google — and its AI systems — exactly what a page is, in a language they never have to guess at. This generator builds valid JSON-LD for the types that matter most, with no account and no data ever leaving your browser.

Generated code

// Fill in the fields to generate your markup.

Empty fields are left out automatically. Paste the block into the <head> of the matching page, then confirm it with Google’s Rich Results Test.

How to use it

  1. 1Pick the schema type that matches your page — LocalBusiness, Organization, Article or Video.
  2. 2Fill in the fields. Anything you leave blank is simply omitted, so the output stays clean and valid.
  3. 3Copy the generated JSON-LD and paste it inside the <head> of your page, or into Google Tag Manager as a custom HTML tag.
  4. 4Validate it once with Google’s Rich Results Test to confirm eligibility before you ship.

Why it matters

Correct structured data is the difference between Google inferring what your page is and knowing it. It powers rich results, feeds entity understanding, and is increasingly what gets a page pulled into AI Overviews and AI Mode as a citation. Malformed markup, on the other hand, is silently ignored — so generating it from valid templates beats hand-writing it every time.

Frequently asked questions

What is JSON-LD and why does Google prefer it?
JSON-LD is a script-based way of adding structured data to a page without touching the visible HTML. Google recommends it because it sits in one clean block in the head, is easy to generate and maintain, and does not risk breaking your layout the way inline microdata can.
Where do I put the generated schema?
Paste the whole <script type="application/ld+json"> block inside the <head> of the relevant page. If you use Google Tag Manager, add it as a Custom HTML tag firing on that page instead. Each page should describe only what is actually on it.
Does this tool send my data anywhere?
No. The entire generator runs in your browser with JavaScript — nothing you type is uploaded, logged or sent to any server. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it will still work.
Will adding schema make my page rank higher?
Schema is not a direct ranking factor, but it makes pages eligible for rich results and helps search engines and AI systems understand and cite your content confidently. That improved understanding and the extra SERP real estate are what move clicks.
